Sunday - Furtherance of the Gospel

Scripture: “And I saw another angel flying through the heavens, carrying the everlasting Good News to preach to the people who belong to this world--to every nation, tribe, language, and people.” Rev. 14:6

Prayer: That the Gospel of Jesus Christ penetrates the Muslim areas in Nigeria. Muslims have a strategic agenda to overtake the nation and give it to Allah.


Monday - Political/Tribal Leaders

Scripture: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. ” 2 Tim. 2:1-2 (KJV)

Prayer: That African leaders will not be intimidated by the Islamic movement. The newly elect president, Umaru Yar’Aduant is a committed Muslim. Pray that He will know Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life.


Tuesday - Persecuted Believers

Scripture: “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matt. 5:10 (KJV)

Prayer: That persecution of believers will not rise as a result of the outcome of the recent elections. Pray for peace in Nigeria.


Wednesday - Socio/Economic Conditions

Scripture: “Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.” Ps. 82:3 (KJV)
Prayer: That the poor in West Africa will receive the gospel, which is able to liberate them from their oppressors. Pray they receive proper education and jobs to support their families.


Thursday - Women & Children

Scripture: “Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:17 (KJV)

Prayer: That God will visit the orphans and young women who are often left to a life of crime and prostitution (male and female prostitution).


Friday - Hindrance of Demonic Activity

Scripture: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Eph. 6:12 (KJV)

Prayer: That the wars in Africa (Sudan, Congo, North and West Africa) and Israel will somehow result in opportunities for the gospel to penetrate and not seemly be hindered in these nations.


Saturday - Missionaries/Indigenous Laborers

Scritpure: “Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matt. 9:37-38 (NIV)

Prayer: For more laborers into the 10/40 Window. Only about 4% to 6% of all missionaries serve in the Window. Pray that the Lord will raise up and send forward West African indigenous workers.
